The project brief called for the demolition of a number of buildings inside the Royal Hospital Block in Adelaide, the adaptive reuse of the historical buildings in need of preservation, and the architectural intervention in the heart of the block to create a cultural / civic hub. This hub is to include the following program requirements: Performance Arts center, Topical Museum, five star hotel, art galleries, spa and fitness center, youth center, a media center, restaurants, retail, as well as the necessary administrative office and facilities.
