The brief called for a regeneration of an existing block in the historic city of Porto - the design is the keep the existing units along the street front and propose for a better solution for the block’s interior. In our scheme, we provide 30,300 m2 of new built footprint, including 107,200 m2 gross area for residential uses (using a variety of building types), 13,200 m2 of retail space, and 24,000m2 for cultural or entertainment spaces (museum space, small movie theaters, arcade games, pool / bowling arenas, fitness centers, musical bars…etc) .
