Set on a cliff in Bamiyan with views towards the Buddha Sculptures that were destroyed in the Taliban in 2001, this competition and project aims to ignite the stagnation Bamiyan economy (which was flourishing prior to Taliban rule). Our design called for blending the landscape and architectural elements, and treat the entire site as one large landscape element. The brief called to design a series of Exhibition spaces, a performance hall, a Library / Research Center, and an administrative zone, with a possibility for a future extension.
